The Friends of Malvern Priory : Autumn Program

The popular Lunch Box series of talks and performance returns to great Malvern Priory this autumn.

10th October : Pete Juzi talks about the Severn Freewheelers, known as the ‘Blood Bikers’

24th October : there will be morris dancing from So Xsighted, performed by dancers with visual impairments.

7th November : pupils from The Chase School put on a concert.

21st November : Sally Kidd talks about quilting history and the story of the underground railroad.

5th December : the year concludes with a seasonal concert by children from Malvern Parish Primary School.

The audience are invited to bring their lunch to eat from 12.30pm with the talk or music starting at 1pm. Entry is free but donations to the upkeep of the Priory are welcomed.

The story of Great Malvern Priory’s medieval tiles is told this October at the annual Heritage and Faith Lecture. Karen Slade from The Company of Artisans will give the talk at the Priory on Saturday 19th October at 6.30pm, which is followed by canapé refreshments.

The Heritage and Faith Lecture is organised by The Friends of Malvern Priory. Tickets are £13 and are available from the shop in the Priory, Malvern Tourist Information Centre, and online at ticketsource.co.uk
