Malvern Quilters includes members of all levels, from absolute beginners to accomplished quilters. The group, which has around thirty regular members and is more than 40 years old, meets on the first and third Monday of the month, at the Malvern Vale Community Centre.
The varied programme, available on the website, includes presentations from professional speakers and hands-on evenings run by group members. At least two workshops a year enable members to learn new techniques or build on existing knowledge, while occasional Sit & Sew days give everyone the chance to enjoy a day’s social sewing, working either on a personal project or a group one.
Malvern Quilters will be holding a Sit & Sew day on Saturday 19th October at Malvern Victoria Bowls Club on Victoria Park Road in Malvern. Running from 10am to Midday, the focus will be on getting to know your sewing machine and how to assemble a basic sewing kit. This will be open to non-members for a fee of £10.
