Lights, Camera... Paint 2024 : Art Trail, Worcester

08 September 2024 to 29 September 2024

All available dates: 08 September 2024 to 29 September 2024

Organised by Worcester Film Festival and Artists Clubhouse, this year’s theme is Movie Mash-ups. Beginning on 24th August, the trail continues through September, it coincides with the launch of Worcester Film Festival. Movie Mash-up inspired posters will be on display at locations around the city centre.

During the trail three participating artists will be selected by a panel of judges made up of local people to be this year’s winners. Prizes have been sponsored by Worcester-based company bluebox Software who are especially excited to be involved in the trail this year as it coincides with them opening their new office in the city.

Managing Director of blubox Software Simon Chrzanowski said: ‘We're honoured to be involved celebrating film and art across our home city. Movie culture is a huge influence on our team and we can't wait to see the results of local creative talent tackling the movie-mash up theme this year.’

This year’s trail has more space for artists, thanks to community funding Worcester City Council, county councillor Malcolm Victory, Worcester City Councillor Lynn Denham. There will be workshops for people to make their own movie mash-up posters and create free activity sheets, with artwork designed by last year’s competition winner and available at venues across the city.

The third annual art trail, ‘Lights, Camera … Paint’ takes place from Saturday 24th August to Sunday 29th September. Organised by Artists Clubhouse and Worcester Film Festival, further details are available online, via the links below.
