Day 262 - 19 September
A plaque inside the front door of Malvern Library, marking the opening of the building just over a century ago. Among the benefactors was Andrew Carnegie, you can read more about him by clicking here.
It reads:
This Public Library was erected by the gifts of Andrew Carnegie Esq. and C.W. Dyson Perrins Esq. The land having been given by Sir Henry Foley Grey Bart., Chairman of The Malvern Urban District Council and Lord of the Manor of Malvern, and was opened by Mrs C.W. Dyson Perrins on the 17th May 1906.
